Doole, Evans & Farnsworth

The last sunday concert at Irish Murphy's for July was a cracker, Rant kicked the night off with a brilliant opening set which included 'Ramble On' followed by a wonderful blend of Russian, Gaelic and French cafe style songs and tunes. A truly versatile and talented young outfit destined for a great career.

They were followed by veteran trio Doole, Evans and Farnsworth who proceeded to make everybody comfy with great renditions of a couple of Steeleye Span style songs from Pat Evans and very sharp instrumental sets from Rob and Prue. Nice accompaniment from Prue on keyboards and a brilliant finale with 'Northwest Passage' a golden oldie.

Get along next month Aug 30th for a glimpse of Suzette Herft and trio if you like Joan Baez, you'll love Suzette plus Victoriana Gaye and Jeff Raglus, great upcoming variety.
