Regular Open-Mic Events at Irish Murphys Geelong

The Geelong Folk Music Club has organised a new series of regular, and now “smoke-free”, Open Mic events and ‘Live & Local’ performances to be held at Irish Murphy's Geelong.
The Open Mic sessions, or ‘blackboard concerts’, are scheduled for the second Tuesday of the month and will be held in on restaurant stage at Irish Murphy’s.
The first of these will take place on Tuesday 14th August from 8:00 pm to 10:30 pm. All acoustic performers are welcome. You just need to roll up, see the MC and get your name on the board. We do ask that all potential performers be present at start time, or you may miss out on a spot.
Performances are strictly less than ten minutes, so please plan accordingly.
Performers are not required to be Club members, but if you are planning on performing more than once, we would encourage you join the Club. Membership of the club costs $20 per adult or $30 for a family. Members receive a monthly newsletter, ‘The Bluey’, as well as regular information regarding events, jam sessions, concerts, music camps, musical supplies and the like.
Open Mic session goers can enjoy a meal or a bottle of wine at performances, so come along and make a night of it.

Anything smoke free has got to be a winner.
Thanks to Mark Wardle for all his ground work getting the word out about these coming events. With any luck we should have a full board!
