High & Lonesome - Irish Murphys - One Mic

BY POPULAR DEMAND The next banjo workshop is Sun Dec 20th, 3PM - 5PM SUNDAY AFTERNOONS AT IRISH MURPHY’S GEELONG

Experienced teachers—Mark Wardle and Peter Somerville, will take you on a thorough workout of bluegrass banjo techniques, from simple rolls and chords through to playing backup and lead solos. Together with over 60 years of teaching experience between them, Mark and Peter will provide you with all the learning materials you will need including notes, tablature and hints and tips on how to set up your banjo.

Participants get free access to a dedicated web site with information, follow up support, downloadable music files , tablature and video.

The Details... The next bluegrass workshop will run from 3:00pm to 5:00pm Sunday Dec 20th in the upstairs room—Irish Murphy’s—Aberdeen St Geelong.

Cost for each participant is $30 for each workshop.

YOU WILL NEED TO BOOK! Bookings are limited so get in early. All bookings and enquiries should be made by email to markw@ncable.net.au Whilst the focus of the workshops is on bluegrass banjo, other instruments are also welcome. We can provide instruction on mandolin, guitar, dobro and double bass as well.

TO GET THE MOST OUT OF THESE WORKSHOPS...

Participants should be able to tune their instrument (a small electronic tuner will help) You should also be able to change reasonably smoothly between a few basic chords—namely G,C and D.
