Wrap-up from the first Last Sunday Folk Club
The last sunday concert at Irish Murphy's for July was a cracker, Rant kicked the night off with a brilliant opening set which included 'Ramble On' followed by a wonderful blend of Russian, Gaelic and French cafe style songs and tunes. A truly versatile and talented young outfit destined for a great career.
They were followed by veteran trio Doole, Evans and Farnsworth who proceeded to make everybody comfy with great renditions of a couple of Steeleye Span style songs from Pat Evans and very sharp instrumental sets from Rob and Prue. Nice accompaniment Read more »»

Myra McRae Band a knockout!
It seamed like half of Geelong had turned out last night at Murphy's to see the newly formed Myra McRae Band perform at the September Live & Local. Beatles singalong a monster success!
A huge thanks to all involved in making the Beatles singalong at Murphy's a huge success! With an almost full house the room was packed with singing, humming, whistling, foot tapping and dancing punters letting their hair down to some of the last decades greatest pop hits!
A huge thankyou to Paula for making it all happen, without her vision and commitment to community music in Geelong this sensational event just wouldn't have happened. Paula, you're a gem!
Here's a sample from Geoff Sinnbeck and friends.
